Daniel has been working for OPRD for the last ten years as the Lead Interpretive Ranger at Champoeg. Before that he was a district archaeologist for the BLM in Eastern Oregon and the Forest Service in Idaho before that. His Career has always revolved around the history and Pre-history of the inland Northwest. Daniel will be sharing a brief overview of the history of Champoeg as a gathering site for thousands of years. The formation of the townsite and place of the first Provisional Government. The forming of the park and where the park will be going in the future.
