Club Activities

Some people think a Rotary Club consists of a bunch of old men having lunch while writing a check every so often to a charitable cause. No way!

At the Newberg Noon Rotary Club, we have 65 members, men and women of all ages and backgrounds, who are dedicated to the concept of “service above self.” Ours is a fun-loving organization of local business and professional leaders who enjoy working together to build community, to learn new things, and to help make the world a better place.

We meet weekly, on Wednesdays, for a buffet lunch, networking, and a guest-speaker presentation on topical subjects. We also plan and monitor club, community, and international service activities.

Our members provide volunteer time, money and expertise to help improve the local community, support youth, and foster international understanding and good will. Service activities range from regularly scheduled to as-needed. Some examples include: Serving lunch at the local senior center on a weekly basis, tutoring children in reading skills through the SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) program, raising funds for Nepal earthquake relief, and an annual dental clinic held in Guatemala.
